The Opportunity

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a growing South Australian civil contractor entering an exciting new phase after securing a $60M in new project.

With a forward pipeline and plans to continue expanding its team, the business is looking for a Civil Project Engineer who wants to grow alongside it. This is an opportunity to join a team with a solid reputation for its culture, where people are supported to develop rather than being limited to their current position. Many employees have remained with the business for more than five years, with internal progression forming an important part of how the team continues to grow.

You will gain exposure across civil infrastructure, structural concreting and large-scale landscaping projects, with the responsibility and support to continue progressing towards Senior Project Engineer and ultimately Project Management.

And importantly, it’s Monday to Friday – no weekend work.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Senior Project Engineers, Project Managers and site teams, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of civil projects while gradually taking on greater responsibility.

Key responsibilities include

- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of civil infrastructure projects




- Managing engineering activities across project programmes and key milestones
- Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders
- Ensuring works meet design, quality and compliance requirements
- Supporting site teams with technical and engineering requirements
- Completing Quality Assurance and WHS checks
- Preparing Work Method Statements, ITPs and project documentation
- Taking on increasing project responsibility as you progress towards SPE and Project Management

We are looking for a Project Engineer who wants more than simply another project to work on. You will ideally bring:

- Experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction or infrastructure
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Exposure to civil infrastructure project delivery
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work effectively with Project Managers and Site Supervisors
- A proactive approach to solving project and site challenges
- The ambition to continue developing towards Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager
