CTC Civlec is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team on a large-scale solar farm project.

This role is suited to a hands-on Civil Supervisor with proven experience delivering underground electrical infrastructure on solar farms, particularly trenching, cable installation, conduit, earthing, sanding, backfilling and associated civil works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating crews, plant and work fronts while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, QA requirements and program targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities across allocated work fronts.
- Manage crews undertaking trenching and underground MV, LV and DC cable installation works.
- Coordinate excavation, trench preparation, earth installation, bedding sand, cable installation, conduit installation, top sand, warning tape/hard cover and backfilling.
- Work closely with Electrical Supervisors to ensure civil works are ready for cable installation and completed in the correct sequence.
- Coordinate with survey and QA personnel to confirm trench alignments, depths, levels and completed works.
- Ensure excavation permits, service locations and relevant approvals are in place before works commence.
- Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and task planning.
- Allocate labour and plant to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Monitor productivity and proactively identify potential delays or constraints.
- Coordinate plant including excavators, loaders, skid steers, telehandlers,



water trucks and tippers as required.
- Ensure materials including sand, conduit, hard cover, warning tape and other consumables are available ahead of works.
- Maintain accurate daily records of completed works, personnel, plant, delays and progress.
- Assist with QA documentation, inspections, testing and handover requirements.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Liaise with Project Management, HSE, QA, surveyors, electrical teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Assist with short-term planning and look-ahead programs to ensure upcoming work fronts are adequately resourced and prepared.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous Civil Supervisor experience on utility-scale solar farm projects.
- Demonstrated experience & knowledge supervising underground electrical cable installation, including MV, LV and/or DC reticulation along with all trenching activities.
- Experience coordinating civil and electrical crews to maintain continuous work fronts.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and survey requirements.
- Experience managing QA requirements associated with underground services.




- Strong knowledge of excavation safety and working around underground electrical infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews, plant and work fronts simultaneously.
- Strong planning, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction setting and meet project production targets.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Relevant plant tickets and/or civil construction qualifications will be highly regarded.

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and willing to be hands-on in the field. You will need to stay ahead of the crews, identify upcoming requirements and ensure survey, QA, materials, plant and labour are organised before they impact production.

This is not a desk-based supervisory position. We need someone who can effectively manage work fronts in the field, communicate clearly with crews and other disciplines, and take ownership of the civil scope from pre-planning to excavation through to final backfill.
