We are seeking an experienced Cold Storage Supervisor to join a brand-new, highly automated cold storage facility. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on the warehouse floor, operating forklifts, coordinating daily activities and supporting the development of processes within a new operation.

You’ll have the opportunity to be involved from the early stages of the site, working closely with the team to establish efficient ways of working while supporting the day-to-day operation.

The Role

This is a permanent full-time position working across freezer and chiller environments, supporting the smooth running of daily warehouse operations. You’ll be hands-on across the floor while coordinating workflow, supporting the team and ensuring orders and operational requirements are completed efficiently and accurately.

You’ll be responsible for

- Coordinating daily warehouse activities across inbound, outbound, picking and general operations
- Allocating labour based on workload, priorities and required skills
- Prioritising and managing orders throughout the shift
- Working hands-on alongside the team on the warehouse floor
- Operating Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Moving, unstacking and positioning pallets
- Picking, packing and completing general warehouse duties
- Carrying out manual handling as required
- Using WMS and computer systems to manage and monitor operations
- Checking and applying correct labelling to goods and orders
- Completing stock adjustments, damages and corrective activities
- Coordinating replenishment and ensuring stock is available for operations
- Supporting the use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and MHE
- Assisting with shift reporting, records and handover requirements
- Identifying and resolving operational issues before they impact the workflow




- Communicating with relevant teams and stakeholders to keep operations moving
- Helping create, implement and improve processes as the new site develops
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and ways of working
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all site safety, quality, QHSE and Chain of Responsibility requirements

What We're Looking For

- Valid LF Forklift Licence – essential
- Strong Counterbalance and High Reach forklift experience – essential
- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
- Cold storage experience preferred
- Experience working in freezer and/or chiller environments highly regarded
- Experience using a WMS or warehouse computer system
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes and workflow
- Comfortable coordinating people, workload and priorities
- Strong attention to detail when handling stock, orders and documentation
- Physically capable of working in a highly manual environment
- Comfortable working in freezer temperatures down to -24°C
- Reliable, proactive and solution-focused
- Able to work autonomously while contributing strongly to a team
- Robust communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude towards continuous improvement and developing new processes

- 4:00am – 12:00pm
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm
- 11:00am – 7:00pm
- 4:00pm – 12:00am
