GEDON has partnered with a highly regarded commercial and contract advisory business that supports the successful delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects across Australia. The business works closely with leading contractors, asset owners and project delivery organisations, providing specialist expertise across commercial management, contract administration, contractual strategy, claims, risk and project advisory.

Rather than operating as a traditional consultancy, the team works closely with its clients and becomes embedded within major project environments, helping project teams navigate the commercial and contractual complexities that come with delivering large-scale infrastructure. Their people work alongside senior project and commercial leaders, providing practical advice, strengthening commercial outcomes and supporting projects through critical stages of procurement, delivery and contract close-out.

With continued investment into infrastructure across Queensland and a strong pipeline of work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, the business is continuing to expand its Brisbane capability and is now looking to appoint a Commercial Executive.

This is an opportunity that should particularly appeal to an experienced Senior Contract Administrator, Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager who has developed strong commercial foundations within the contracting environment but is looking for greater variety, exposure and progression.

You may have spent the last several years administering major subcontract packages, managing variations and claims, preparing contractual correspondence, negotiating commercial outcomes and protecting the contractual position of a project. This opportunity allows you to take that experience and apply it across a broader portfolio of major infrastructure projects, clients and commercial challenges.

Importantly, previous consultancy or advisory experience is not essential.

The business is particularly interested in people who understand how projects actually operate from the contractor's perspective. Strong experience gained with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor, combined with a practical understanding of contracts, commercial risk, variations, claims and project delivery,



can provide an excellent foundation for the role.

What will you be doing?

Working across major Tier 1 and Tier 2 infrastructure projects, you will provide hands-on commercial and contractual support throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities may include

- Providing commercial and contractual advice across major infrastructure projects
- Contract administration and management of head contracts and subcontract packages
- Identifying, assessing and managing variations and contractual entitlements
- Preparing and reviewing contractual correspondence, notices and commercial documentation
- Supporting claims, EOTs, variations and other contractual matters
- Reviewing project commercial performance, cost exposure and contractual risk
- Assisting project teams with procurement and subcontractor commercial management
- Supporting the preparation and negotiation of commercial settlements and final accounts
- Working directly with senior project stakeholders, contractors and clients
- Helping project teams establish strong commercial processes and contract management strategies

You may currently be operating as a:

Senior Contract Administrator | Contracts Manager | Commercial Manager | Senior Quantity Surveyor | Senior Contracts Administrator

Ideally, you will have:





- Strong experience within the civil and infrastructure construction sector
- Experience working on major Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects
- A strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
- Experience managing variations, claims, contractual correspondence and commercial negotiations
- The ability to interpret contract documentation and identify commercial risk and entitlement
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior project stakeholders
- A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Commercial Management or a related discipline would be advantageous

Experience across transport, roads, rail, utilities, water, energy or other major infrastructure environments will be highly regarded. Why make the move?
