Role Description The Commercial Specialist will support DAS Lab’s external engagements and commercial activities in a part-time remote role. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing relationships with partners and clients, coordinating inquiries, and tracking ongoing collaborations. The role involves supporting sales-related activities such as identifying potential partners, preparing basic proposals or presentation materials, and assisting with follow-up communications.

The Commercial

Specialist will also help with purchasing and procurement coordination, including gathering quotes, processing orders, and maintaining records. Additional tasks may include updating commercial documentation, providing customer support to external stakeholders, and collaborating with the lab’s research and administrative teams to ensure clear, consistent communication.

Qualifications

- Robust Communication skills for email, virtual meetings, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.




- Customer Service and Account Management skills to handle inquiries, maintain relationships, and support partner satisfaction.
- Sales and Purchasing skills to assist with lead follow-up, basic proposals, and procurement processes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting with effective time management and organization.
- Comfort with digital tools (e.g., CRM or tracking spreadsheets, collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Slack).
- Attention to detail for managing records, agreements, and commercial documentation.
- Interest in AI, cybersecurity, privacy, or technology-focused organizations is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a commercial, business development, or customer-facing role is an asset; relevant education in business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
