Your current role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the organisation's communications, marketing, brand, and stakeholder engagement functions. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, you will develop and implement communication strategies that enhance organisational visibility, strengthen reputation, and support business objectives.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing and delivering strategic internal and external communication plans
- Providing high-level communications and reputation management advice to senior leaders
- Leading brand management and ensuring consistency across all channels
- Creating compelling content including media releases, speeches, reports, newsletters, web content, and stakeholder communications
- Managing digital communications, including website, social media, email marketing, and content strategies
- Supporting advocacy, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and partnership initiatives particularly with Government
- Leading communications planning for organisational change, projects, and major initiatives
- Managing communications risks and supporting issues and crisis communications
- Leading and mentoring communications team members and external suppliers as required
- Monitoring communications performance and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
What you'll need to succeed To be considered, you will bring substantial experience in communications, corporate affairs, public relations, or marketing, along with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
You will demonstrate
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives
- Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills
- Experience advising senior leaders on communications, reputation, and stakeholder matters
- Strong media, digital communications, and brand management experience
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship-building experience regarding advocacy of not-for-profit services in Government
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Leadership experience and the ability to coach and mentor others
- Experience within the not-for-profit, community services, government, health, or human services sectors will be highly regarded
