Join Beyond Dietetics

Are you a Dietitian looking for a flexible part time role where you can develop your clinical skills, work with a diverse caseload and have the support to grow professionally?

Beyond Dietetics is a locally owned and growing Adelaide dietetic practice providing practical, person-centred nutrition support across the NDIS, community and aged-care sectors.

We work closely with clients, families, carers, support coordinators and other health professionals to deliver nutrition care that is realistic, meaningful and tailored to each person's circumstances.

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for a Dietitian who would like to become a valued long-term member of our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dietitian to join us in a permanent part-time position of approximately 15–20 hours per week.

The role will primarily involve providing face-to-face dietetic services to NDIS participants and community clients across metropolitan Adelaide, alongside clinical documentation, stakeholder communication and resource development.

Your caseload may include

- NDIS and disability nutrition
- Community dietetics
- Aged care
- Chronic disease management
- Mealtime and nutrition support
- Nutrition education and capacity building
- Practical food skills, meal planning and cooking support

We also encourage our Dietitians to develop their own areas of clinical interest. Applicants with an interest in areas such as women's health, gastrointestinal nutrition, chronic disease or other specialty areas are welcome. We don't expect you to know everything from day one. You will receive support and mentoring while progressively developing confidence, independence and ownership of your caseload.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include

- Conducting comprehensive, evidence-based nutrition assessments.
- Developing practical and individualised nutrition interventions.
- Providing nutrition education to clients, families, carers and support staff.
- Supporting NDIS participants to work towards nutrition-related goals and greater independence.
- Monitoring client progress and adapting interventions when required.

- Preparing high-quality clinical notes, nutrition plans, progress reports and NDIS documentation.
- Liaising with support coordinators, families, SIL providers, carers and other health professionals.
- Managing your allocated caseload and ensuring timely client and stakeholder follow-up.
- Developing practical nutrition resources and client education materials.
- Participating in clinical supervision, case discussions and professional development.
- Contributing ideas to improve our services, resources and client experience as Beyond Dietetics grows.

Who We're Looking For We would love to hear from someone who is:
- Warm, professional and person-centred.
- Reliable, organised and proactive.
- A strong communicator with clients and stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing their own workload while knowing when to seek support.
- Able to communicate nutrition information clearly to people with different levels of ability and health literacy.
- Committed to evidence-based dietetic practice.
- Interested in disability and community-based nutrition.
- Keen to learn, develop professionally and become increasingly independent.
- Interested in growing with a small and developing dietetic practice.

What We OfferPermanent Part-Time Employment Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with potential for the role and hours to grow as the practice expands.

Flexibility

We understand the importance of work-life balance and will discuss suitable working days and arrangements with the successful applicant.

Autonomy

As your confidence and experience develop, you will have increasing responsibility for managing your own caseload and client relationships.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have, or be willing and eligible to obtain where applicable:

- A recognised qualification in Dietetics.
- Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Willingness to travel to clients across metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding areas where agreed.

Desirable Experience We are particularly interested in applicants with:
- Approximately 1–3 years of dietetic experience, although strong new graduates with relevant community or disability experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Previous NDIS, disability or community dietetics experience.
- Experience working with people with disability and their support networks.
- Experience preparing clinical or NDIS reports.
- Strong clinical documentation and written communication skills.
- Experience or interest in aged care, chronic disease, gastrointestinal nutrition or women's health.
- An interest in developing practical nutrition resources, cooking programs and client education.

Experience is important, but we place equal value on reliability, communication, initiative, professionalism and willingness to develop. Remuneration A competitive hourly rate plus superannuation will be offered based on the successful applicant's experience, qualifications, level of independence and applicable Award classification.
