Join us as a Youth Events Officer and play a key role increating engaging, inclusive and meaningful experiences for youngpeople aged 11–25. Based at our HQ in Leederville, you’ll help planand deliver a diverse range of music, arts, recreation andcommunity events that connect young people and create positiveopportunities for participation and engagement. We’re seeking anenthusiastic Youth Events Officer to join us a fixed term part timecontract till July 2027 with the possibility ofextension.

- You’ll be earning $91,065 - $97,987 per annum + 12% super(pro rata)
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum. Salary packagingallows you to pay for your expenses with money from your salarybefore tax is taken out – meaning you pay less tax and takehome more of your pay
- Part-time position offering adaptable working days,15 hours per week, on a fixed-term contractuntil July 2027, with the possibility of extension.

What you’ll be doing

As a Youth Events Officer, you’ll lead the planningand delivery of music and community events, managing bookings,liaising with artists, bands and industry partners, coordinatingevent logistics, promotion and staff rosters. You’ll also overseethe GigSpace HQ in Leederville and ensure events are deliveredsafely and effectively. Alongside this,



you’ll mentor young people,helping them build event management skills and ensuring their ideasand voices shape the events and activities delivered.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

- Have experience creating, coordinating and deliveringyouth-focused events
- Have a relevant qualification in events management or musicor a related discipline.
- Are confident engaging and communicating with young people,community stakeholders and industry partners
- Have excellent organisation, time management, communicationand interpersonal skills
- Are comfortable working outside normal hours, includingevenings and weekends
- Hold a current C Class Driver’s Licence and National PoliceClearance, with a current/ willing to obtain Working withChildren Check required.
