Are you an experienced early childhood leader ready to take ownership of a thriving, Exceeding-rated service and make a genuine impact?

We are seeking a passionate, capable and motivated Centre Director to lead our team, drive quality practice and create a positive workplace for our children, families and educators.

With a proud history of being rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard for over 10 years, our service has an established culture of quality, strong practice and continuous improvement. We are looking for a leader who values this history and is excited to continue building on the high standards our team has achieved.

This is a full-time leadership opportunity suited to either an experienced Centre Director looking for their next opportunity or a strong and experienced 2IC who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career.

About the Role

As Centre Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the service while fostering a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.

You will work closely with your educators, families and management team to ensure the service operates to a high standard across quality, compliance, staffing, occupancy and family engagement.

Importantly, you won't be doing it alone. You will be supported by an established management structure while still having the autonomy to lead your service, support your team and make the role your own.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strong, values-led leadership to educators and staff
- Lead and support a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture
- Oversee daily centre operations, rostering and administration

- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations and Child Safe Standards
- Continue to uphold and build upon the service's long-standing Exceeding quality standards
- Drive continuous quality improvement and maintain Assessment & Rating readiness
- Mentor, coach and develop educators to strengthen practice and professional growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Monitor occupancy, enrolments and overall service performance
- Work collaboratively with management to achieve operational and quality goals
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, engaging and child-focused learning environment
- Embed a strong culture of child safety across all areas of the service

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident in their leadership while also being approachable, supportive and willing to work alongside their team.

You will ideally have:

- A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Previous experience as a Centre Director, Assistant Director or a strong 2IC ready to step into a Director position
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, National Regulations and Child Safe Standards

- A genuine passion for building and supporting high-performing teams
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence managing competing priorities within an early childhood environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to mentor educators, provide constructive feedback and manage performance when required
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

Why Join Our Team?

We are a family-owned and operated organisation, not a large corporate provider. We want our Centre Directors to know their service, their team and their families and to have the support and autonomy to lead them well.

You can expect:

- The opportunity to lead a service with a proud 10+ year history of Exceeding the National Quality Standard
- A supportive leadership structure, with direct support from your Area Manager, Approved Provider, Family Accounts Administrator and service 2IC
- The opportunity to work within a family-owned and operated organisation
- Genuine autonomy to lead, develop and inspire your team
- Management and administrative support so you can focus on your team, children, families and community
- A well-resourced and welcoming centre environment with a generous service budget
- Ongoing professional development and leadership support for you and your team
- Opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation
- The opportunity to have a genuine voice in the direction and continued success of your service
