The role
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you’ll drive continuous improvement across Supply Chain, Central Kitchen, Production, Logistics and Restaurants, identifying, prioritising and delivering initiatives that improve productivity, reduce cost, optimise inventory and increase efficiency across the value chain.
You’ll report to the COO and work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Central Kitchen, Logistics, Food Safety, Operations and Finance.
You’ll have
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement or a similar role within a fast-paced consumer goods or food environment
- A proven track record of delivering measurable productivity, cost and quality improvements
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, production, logistics and inventory management principles
- Experience applying Lean and structured problem-solving techniques, including process mapping, value stream mapping, root cause analysis and standard work
- Strong analytical skills, with experience building business cases and leading cross-functional projects from concept through to implementation
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using business intelligence and reporting tools to analyse performance and support decision-making
- Experience working with ERP, WMS or inventory management systems
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business or Commerce are desirable.
Key responsibilities Reporting to the COO, you’ll take ownership of building and implementing the systems, processes and operating disciplines that enable the business to scale. This includes embedding Lean principles, establishing performance reporting and operating rhythms, standardising ways of working, capturing operational knowledge and developing leaders to make data-driven decisions.
You’ll be expected to
- Identify, prioritise and lead a pipeline of improvement initiatives across Supply Chain, Central Kitchen, Logistics and Restaurants
- Apply Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving, including process mapping, value stream mapping, root cause analysis and standard work, to remove waste and variability
- Build robust business cases for improvement initiatives, quantifying cost, productivity and service benefits, and track delivery against them
- Lead cross-functional projects from concept through to implementation, managing scope, timelines, budget and stakeholder alignment
- Design and embed performance reporting, scorecards and operating rhythms that give leaders real-time visibility of labour, yield, OTIF, inventory and waste
- Strengthen operational governance across the value chain, ensuring consistent standards, controls and escalation pathways
- Partner with Finance to track and report the commercial impact of improvement initiatives, including cost savings and ROI
- Support inventory optimisation across Central Kitchen and Restaurants, working with Supply Chain and Logistics to reduce waste and improve availability
- Standardise ways of working across sites and functions, developing SOPs, playbooks and standard work documentation
- Capture and codify operational knowledge so improvements are sustained beyond the life of individual projects
- Coach and build capability in leaders and operational teams, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making
- Act as a trusted advisor to Operations, Supply Chain, Central Kitchen and Restaurant leaders, building alignment and driving outcomes without relying on direct authority.
