Salary: $74,000 to $80,000 + 12% Superannuation
Bombay Pavilion is an iconic fine dining restaurant located in Bungendore serving Indian cuisine and are looking for a full time cook to work 38 hours per week.
We are looking for a cook to join our team in Bungendore. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1-year full-time work experience in their relevant occupation, preferably in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate must think innovatively and can work in a team.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and a great dining experience for our guests.
Duties & Responsibilities as a Cook:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation,
portioning, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and storage
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Support the Chef and kitchen team as required
- Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, volume, and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Relevant qualifications desired.
Skills and other requirements for the position:
- Have a minimum of 1-year full-time work experience in the relevant role.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
