Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors connects volunteers with older people who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

Keith* is in his 70s and lives independently in a retirement village in Tuncurry. He enjoys spending time with others and is known for getting along well with people from all walks of life.

Keith experiences some memory loss, but this does not stop him from enjoying good company, meaningful conversation and getting out into the community. He would benefit from having a regular visitor who can spend time chatting, sharing a coffee, or enjoying easy outings together.

Whether it's a visit to a local café, a walk around town, a trip to a community event or simply sitting and talking about life, Barry values connection and companionship more than anything else.

A volunteer who is friendly, patient and comfortable engaging in conversation would be a wonderful match. No special skills are required, just a willingness to spend time together and build a genuine friendship.

We're looking for a kind and reliable volunteer who can commit to regular visits and enjoys helping people stay connected to their community.

As a Wesley volunteer, you'll receive:

- Ongoing support from your Wesley Volunteer Coordinator
- A carefully considered match with an older person
- Training and guidance to help you get started
- Invitations to volunteer recognition and celebration events

If you can spare an hour a week, or an hour a fortnight, we'd love to hear from you. A coffee, a conversation and a little company could make all the difference to Keith's week.
