The Gold Coast SUNS are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Events Executive to join our Events team. Reporting to the Head of Events & Match Day Experience, you'll play a key role in delivering AFL and AFLW match day experiences, partner activations, corporate events, member events and community initiatives. This is an exciting chance for an experienced event professional to take ownership of projects, contribute creative ideas and help bring the SUNS brand to life through exceptional experiences
About the Role
You'll lead allocated event and match day projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with internal departments, suppliers, venue stakeholders and partners to create memorable experiences for our fans, members and partners.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Delivering AFL and AFLW match day experiences and activations
- Planning and executing member, corporate and community events
- Coordinating suppliers, contractors and venue stakeholders
- Delivering sponsor and partner activations
- Contributing creative ideas that enhance the fan experience
- Managing event logistics, administration and reporting
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members within the Events team
About You
You are a highly organised and solutions-focused event professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing ideas to life.
You'll bring:
- Experience coordinating or delivering events
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A passion for creating engaging experiences and delivering exceptional events
