The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Junior School as Curriculum Coordinator.

This key leadership position is responsible for driving the development and implementation of exemplary teaching and learning programs from Kindergarten to Year 6. The Curriculum Coordinator will champion rigorous, explicit and differentiated teaching practices, with a particular focus on Literacy and Numeracy across Prep to Year 6.

Working closely with the Head of Junior School, Head of Individual Differences and the Head of Early Years the successful applicant will provide strategic and instructional leadership to teaching teams. With a FTE 0.4 teaching load, they will play an active role in the College Leadership Team and Junior School Leadership Team.

The successful applicant will combine curriculum expertise with outstanding relational leadership, inspiring staff to deliver learning experiences that promote academic achievement,



student growth and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities include:

- ​Lead the development, implementation and review of high-quality curriculum programs aligned with Victorian Curriculum 2.0
- ​Champion explicit, differentiated and evidence informed teaching practices and adaptable grouping practice across the Junior School
- ​Lead teaching teams in the development of coherent curriculum, assessment and moderation practices
- ​Oversee the ongoing review of scope and sequence documentation, supporting a logical learning journey from Kinder 3 to Year 12
- ​Work with the Head of Junior School to establish and monitor targets for academic achievement and student growth
- ​Lead cycles of teacher observation, reflection, feedback and professional review
- ​Support, mentor and develop staff, including teachers undertaking VIT accreditation
- ​Monitor teaching programs, student work and learning outcomes to support continuous improvement
- ​Coordinate curriculum communication, parent information sessions and relevant orientation activities
- ​Ensure the Junior School meets curriculum, reporting and regulatory requirements, including preparation for VRQA evaluations
- ​Identify and coordinate professional learning opportunities aligned with College and Junior School priorities
