12-Month Initial Contract | Brisbane | 50/50 Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our client's team and provide strategic architectural leadership across their Cyber Uplift Program. This is a great chance to shape target-state cyber architecture and drive measurable risk reduction across a major program of work.

- Initial 12 month contract w/ possible extensions
- Based in Brisbane w/ 50% WFH
- Digital transformation or uplift projects highly regarded

About this position: As the Cyber Security Architect Lead, you will govern cybersecurity architecture across the Cyber Uplift Program, providing technical leadership and design authority, and translating security strategy into practical delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead cyber security architecture across multiple concurrent program initiatives.
- Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards and reusable design patterns.
- Provide architectural governance and design assurance across the project lifecycle.
- Provide architectural leadership from discovery through to operational transition.




- Support delivery teams to translate architecture into implementable outcomes.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cyber security frameworks, government policy and legislative requirements.
- Provide expert technical advice and mentor architects and technical specialists across the program.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
- Monitor emerging cyber security trends and promote reuse of architecture patterns program-wide.
- Provide architectural input to procurement, technology evaluations and vendor assessments.

About you:

- Proven experience in cyber security architecture and technical leadership.
- Proven track record leading architecture across large, complex transformation programs.
- Experience developing enterprise security architecture and capability roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of government cyber security frameworks.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide trusted technical advice to executives.
