? Senior Cyber Security GRC Specialist – APS6 Equivalent | NV1 Mandatory

⏳ Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension

? Security Clearance: NV1 Mandatory

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security GRC Specialist – APS6 equivalent to support the Australian Electoral Commission’s (AEC) cyber security resilience uplift program .

This is a surge role supporting electoral events, with extended hours and weekend work required during key event periods . Temporary work-from-home arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to security considerations within solution design
- Review and develop cyber security requirements
- Prepare communications and documentation for senior executive decision-making

• Coordinate security assurance activities, including IRAP and penetration testing

- Lead the development of formal cyber security and GRC documentation
- Support election-specific cyber security requirements during electoral events





Essential Skills & Experience

✅ Strong knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Essential Eight

✅ Demonstrated experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

✅ Robust stakeholder and client engagement skills with a track record of achieving outcomes

✅ Proven experience developing GRC and security documentation

Desirable

⭐ 5+ years’ experience in relevant cyber security/GRC roles

APS Level: APS6 Equivalent

Maximum hours: 45 hours per week

Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension

? NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
