Role Description The Data Analyst / Junior Data Analyst will support the university’s academic and administrative units by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing quantitative and qualitative data. In this full-time remote role, the analyst will prepare regular reports and dashboards, assist in evaluating key performance indicators, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making for teaching, research, and institutional planning. Day-to-day tasks include working with databases and spreadsheets, validating data accuracy, documenting methodologies, and presenting clear insights to non-technical stakeholders.

The role may also involve collaborating with research groups on data-related tasks, supporting survey design and analysis, and helping to improve data processes and standards.

Qualifications

- Foundational data analysis skills, including data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis using spreadsheets and/or statistical tools.
- Ability to create clear reports, tables, and visualizations,



and to communicate findings in a concise and accessible manner.
- Basic understanding of databases, data structures, and querying (e.g., SQL or similar tools) is highly beneficial.
- Robust analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish and/or Valencian is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in data science, statistics, computer science, economics, social sciences, or a related quantitative field.
- Interest in higher education, research environments, and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and tools (e.g., R, Python, or statistical software) is a plus for a junior-level candidate.
