Data Analyst / Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive Data Analyst / Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) to transform raw data into clear, actionable business intelligence. In this entry-to-junior role, you will work closely with Senior Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional business stakeholders to extract, clean, analyze, and visualize operational data. You will be responsible for drafting SQL queries, maintaining automated reporting dashboards, running ad-hoc exploratory analyses, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-informed business strategies.

Responsibilities include auditing raw datasets for accuracy, managing automated dashboard pipelines, translating business requirements into structured analytical frameworks, and communicating key data insights to non-technical teams. Success in this position requires a strong quantitative problem-solving mindset, proficiency with relational databases and BI platforms, meticulous attention to data integrity, and a proactive drive to learn.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- SQL & Database Management: Solid understanding of relational database querying (writing clean SELECT queries, JOINs, GROUP BY clauses, subqueries, and aggregate functions) using PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, BigQuery, or Snowflake.




- Data Visualization & BI Platforms: Hands-on experience or academic coursework using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio) to create clear, interactive dashboards and visual reports.
- Advanced Spreadsheet Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, logical formulas, and data validation) for rapid data cleaning and ad-hoc audits.
- Programming Languages (Python/R): Exposure to Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) or R for basic data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automated data processing.
- Data Quality & Validation: High attention to detail in identifying data anomalies, duplicate records, missing entries, and logic errors to maintain strict data integrity.
- Statistical Foundations: Practical understanding of core statistical concepts, such as mean/median/mode, distributions, variance, correlation vs. causation, and introductory A/B testing principles.
- Business Acumen & Insight Delivery: Ability to connect quantitative findings to real-world business performance, identifying trends, performance drivers, and operational risks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Transparent written and verbal communication skills to present complex statistical summaries and visual reports to team leads and business units.
- Professional Attributes: Strong logical diagnostic skills, high personal integrity, excellent time management, and a collaborative team mindset in fast-paced environments.
