We’re looking for a reliable, technically minded, and detail-oriented Data Centre Operations Technician to support infrastructure operations, equipment monitoring, maintenance activities, and technical troubleshooting. ?

? THE ROLE

As a Data Centre Operations Technician , you’ll support day-to-day infrastructure operations, monitor systems and equipment, assist with hardware activities, and help maintain reliable and efficient data-centre environments.

? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

✅ Monitor data-centre systems, equipment, and operational alerts

✅ Perform basic hardware installation, replacement, and maintenance tasks

✅ Assist with server, network, and rack equipment activities

✅ Follow operational procedures, checklists, and safety requirements

✅ Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues

✅ Record incidents, maintenance activities, and equipment changes

✅ Escalate complex technical issues to senior infrastructure teams

✅ Support equipment inspections and routine operational checks





✅ Assist with asset tracking and inventory management

✅ Maintain accurate technical documentation and records

✅ Support incident-response and business-continuity procedures

✅ Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and support teams

? REQUIREMENTS

✔️ Diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related field preferred

✔️ Basic understanding of servers, networking, hardware, and operating systems

✔️ Familiarity with data-centre or IT infrastructure concepts is an advantage

✔️ Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

✔️ Robust attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

✔️ Comfortable working with technical documentation and ticketing systems

✔️ Good communication and teamwork skills

✔️ Strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise
