Creswick Dental Centre is looking for a reliable dental assistant to join our small team.
Applications are welcome from experienced dental assistants as well as committed beginners interested in completing a Certificate III traineeship.
Two pathways are available
Experienced Dental Assistant
We welcome applicants with chairside, sterilisation and infection-control experience.
Pay will be negotiated according to qualifications, experience and the ability to work independently, within the advertised range.
Trainee
Previous dental experience is not required. What matters most is that you are qualified, practical, willing to learn and genuinely interested in building a long-term career in dentistry.
No dental experience is required. You will begin on the current award rate, with your pay increasing once you enrol in the Certificate III traineeship. Further reviews will follow as your workplace skills and course competencies develop.
About the role
Our practice provides general and emergency dentistry, restorative treatment, root canal treatment, crowns and bridges, dentures, periodontal care, implants and minor oral surgery.
The role includes
- Chairside assisting during dental procedures
- Cleaning, sterilising and preparing instruments
- Setting up and turning over treatment rooms
- Supporting patients and helping the clinic run smoothly
- Occasional reception assistance when required
Who we are looking for
You should be
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Professional and comfortable working with patients
- Receptive to instruction and constructive feedback
- Confident with basic computer use and typing
- Available full-time, including Fridays
- Able to travel reliably to Creswick
The clinic is located approximately 15-20 minutes from central Ballarat and offers free on-site parking and predictable weekday hours.
