About Robertson Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin. It is home to the 1st Brigade & 1st Aviation Regiment. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2800 members, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 22-bed low dependency ward 24/7. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver clinical dental services to Defence members
- Provide a full range of general dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning and preventative care
- Undertake procedures such as restorations, extractions,
root canal treatments, periodontal care and minor oral surgery
- Promote and maintain oral health through patient education, preventative strategies and ongoing care
- Use diagnostic tools including dental imaging to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate clinical records using Defence eHealth systems and ensure compliance with governance frameworks
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
What You Bring
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist with AHPRA
- Minimum two years’ full-time (or equivalent) post graduate clinical experience, with recent practice within the last five years
- Solid clinical capability across a broad range of general dentistry procedures
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
- Australian Citizenship required for baseline security clearance
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
