DevOps Lead

Work Location: Sydney

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Lead to lead and support DevOps automation, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives and drive automation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and manage automation solutions using Ansible.
- Design, configure, and optimize Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using Azure Pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control using Git.
- Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications and workloads on Kubernetes environments.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes, automation, scalability, and system reliability.




- Troubleshoot CI/CD, deployment, containerization, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to DevOps team members.
- Follow security, compliance, and organizational standards, particularly in environments requiring security clearance.

Candidate Profile

- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
- Proven experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong scripting and automation mindset.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a technical leadership / DevOps Lead capacity.
- Comfortable working 5 days from office.
- Active security clearance is mandatory.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within 1 week will be preferred.
