Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional (if applicable)
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant senior management role
- Contemporary quality and clinical risk management knowledge, with preference given to applicants with experience in and a working knowledge of health and aged care accreditation processes
- Demonstrated ability to work at a strategic, tactical, and operational level within a complex organisation
- Demonstrated strong, values-driven leadership skills with a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve agreed organisational vision and objectives, utilising an evidence-based quality approach
- Demonstrated experience in working with a leadership team to create and realise a vision for the future
- Proven, highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills,
with experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to Maryborough District Health Service
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of contemporary management issues and practices relating to the provision of clinical governance in healthcare organisations
- Extensive understanding of the principles of safety, quality, and risk management; a systems thinker who is highly curious and an innovative problem solver
- Demonstrated ability to meet agreed goals and timeframes within a rapidly changing setting
- Ability to interrogate data and identify practical solutions to problems, being results-driven and fostering productive and professional working relationships
- Advanced report writing and computer skills
Desirable
- Experience in rural or regional healthcare settings
