About the role The Director – SHEQ exists to provide day-to-day enterprise leadership of safety, health, environment and quality across GreenSquare’s asset delivery, data centre operations and business operations activities. The role enables secure, reliable and high-quality work by partnering with leaders, teams and contractors to embed practical SHEQ standards, strengthen frontline risk management and support successful operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities The Director – SHEQ is accountable for translating GreenSquare’s SHEQ strategy, standards and expectations into effective day-to-day practice across delivery projects, operational data centres and corporate functions.

- Lead day-to-day SHEQ delivery across asset delivery, data centre operations and business operations, providing practical, timely and commercially aware support to leaders and teams.
- Partner with Development & Delivery, Operations and business leaders to identify SHEQ priorities, support operational risk decisions and enable safe and successful work.
- Identify, develop and lead a portfolio of SHEQ initiatives that improve how GreenSquare develops, delivers and operates data centres, strengthen enterprise risk management and embed practical improvements across the business.
- Embed critical risk management practices by supporting the practical application of standards, controls, field engagement and escalation of emerging risks.
- Act as the SHEQ subject matter expert for quality management, supporting the Delivery team to oversee implementation of General Contractors’ Quality Plans, develop internal systems that enable monitoring, oversight and accountability, challenge quality performance where required,



and hold project stakeholders accountable for managing quality risks, non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Lead SHEQ engagement with contractors, consultants and delivery partners to strengthen risk ownership, communication and performance across project and operational environments.
- Provide functional leadership, coaching and direction to the Project Safety Manager through the dotted-line relationship, aligned with the Director of Delivery’s direct reporting accountability.
- Support incident response and lead incident investigation, strengthening investigation quality, follow-up actions and the translation of events into meaningful improvement.
- Develop and deploy SHEQ procedures, tools and guidance that are simple, fit-for-purpose and aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Develop impactful SHEQ reporting practices that translate performance data, operational feedback and emerging risk indicators into clear insights for leadership decisions, prioritisation and improvement activity.
- Lead or support SHEQ audit and assurance activities as required to provide independent oversight

Who you’ll work with

- Internal: VP of Health, Safety & Quality, Senior Leadership Team, Design, Delivery and Operations leaders and teams, Project Safety Managers
- External: General Contractors,



vendors, external auditors, customers

Essential criteria

- Significant experience leading SHEQ in complex operational, construction, infrastructure, or data centre environments.
- Tertiary qualification in health and safety, engineering, environmental management, quality, risk management or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian work health and safety obligations, contractor management, incident management, risk management and operational assurance practices.
- Strong working knowledge of construction quality management practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, operational teams, contractors and technical stakeholders without relying solely on positional authority.
- Practical leadership style with the ability to balance field presence, strategic judgement, governance expectations and business delivery priorities.

Desired criteria

- Experience configuring and implementing digital systems for construction management, eg Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProCore, Aconex
- Experience building automated enterprise, project and site level dashboards and reporting systems including the use of BI tools and AI.
- Knowledge of data centres advantageous
