Ultima Care is seeking an experienced, dependable Disability Support Worker for regular two-hour evening shifts in Gilles Plains.
You will assist an adult NDIS participant with a structured personal care and bedtime routine. This is a shared-care shift working alongside another support worker.
Position details
- Casual position
- Approximately 20 hours per fortnight
- Regular two-hour evening shifts
- Gilles Plains location
Commencement is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, induction and participant-specific training and competency assessment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide respectful, hands-on personal care in accordance with the participant’s support plan, preferences and established routine
- Assist the participant to complete their evening routine safely and with dignity
- Follow detailed personal care instructions and risk controls consistently
- Work collaboratively with the other support worker during the shift
- Observe and promptly escalate changes in the participant’s presentation, wellbeing or identified risks
- Complete accurate and timely progress notes and incident documentation
- Maintain privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries
Essential requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or another relevant qualification
- Demonstrated hands-on personal care experience with participants who have complex or high-intensity needs
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Australian working rights
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in spoken English
- Ability to follow detailed participant-specific routines without taking shortcuts
- Availability and reliability for the agreed evening roster
- Ability to perform the inherent requirements of the position safely, with reasonable adjustments where required
