Anchor & Aim Support is looking for two carefully matched support workers (female or non-binary support worker, aged approximately 30–45) for community-based disability support in Heathmont, Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
This is not simply about filling a shift. We're looking for people who can build a genuine connection with the participants and bring an authentic understanding of autism.
Opportunity 1 – Community Access Support
We are seeking a female or non-binary support worker, aged approximately 30–45, for versatile/ad-hoc community access support.
Essential:
- Lived experience of autism
- Clear and confident English communication
- Comfortable driving the participant's own vehicle
- Warm, patient and relationship-focused approach
- Comfortable providing flexible/ad-hoc community access support
- Willing to attend a meet & greet before commencing
Opportunity 2 – Young Adult Community & Social Support We are seeking a female or non-binary support worker under 30 to support a 19-year-old participant.
We would particularly love to hear from someone who enjoys music, dance, creative activities, social outings or similar interests and can build a natural,
age-appropriate connection.
Essential:
- Lived experience of autism
- Clear English communication
- Female or non-binary
- Under 30 years of age
- Friendly, engaging and dependable
- Willing to attend a meet & greet before commencing
What do we mean by lived experience? We're particularly interested in hearing from people who have personal lived experience of autism or meaningful lived experience through a close family/caring relationship, in addition to any professional disability-support experience.
Location: Heathmont VIC
