We are looking for a compassionate Italian-speaking volunteer to spend time with an Italian-speaking resident, Lidiana, living in a residential aged care facility.

By sharing your time, language, and culture, you can provide meaningful companionship, friendly conversation, and a familiar connection to someone who would truly value your time.

Lidiana would enjoy having someone to chat with in Italian, reminisce about the past, talk about Italy and different topics, and enjoy colouring-in and other activities together.

By speaking Italian and sharing an interest in her culture and life experiences, you'll help her feel more connected, understood, and less isolated.

Sometimes, a friendly conversation and a little companionship can make a world of difference.

With just a little time each week or fortnight, you can brighten someone's day, build a genuine friendship, and make a positive difference in their wellbeing and quality of life.

You don't need previous volunteering experience, just a caring heart, the ability to speak Italian, a willingness to listen,



and an interest in spending time with an older person.

Volunteer Requirements:

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to speak Italian

You'll receive ongoing training, guidance, and support from your Program Coordinator throughout your volunteering journey.

Volunteers are required to visit once per fortnight (although we prefer weekly where possible), duration of visit is up to you. We require a commitment of minimum 6 months - 12 months or longer.
