Dog Groomer - Pet Groomer & Animal Attendant

Dog & Groom is a boutique grooming salon and small-group daycare in O’Connor. We’re known for our calm, clean environment, beautiful grooms, and genuinely personalised care.

We’re looking for an experienced Dog Groomer to join our team full-time. This role suits someone who takes pride in their finish, works calmly and safely, and has the confidence to help lead standards in a busy salon.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for delivering consistently excellent grooms and supporting smooth salon operations, including:

- Bathing, blow-drying, clipping/scissoring, de-shedding, styling and finishing
- Nail clipping and ear cleaning
- Confident, kind handling of dogs across breeds, sizes, coat types and temperaments
- Maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards (cleaning, disinfecting, equipment care)
- Client communication: coat condition, realistic outcomes, maintenance advice and rebooking
- Supporting the team in a quick-paced environment with strong time management
- Mentoring junior groomers and helping maintain consistent grooming standards

What we’re looking for
- 3+ years professional dog grooming experience (essential)
- Strong clipper and scissor skills with solid breed/coat knowledge
- Calm, capable approach,



you stay steady when the salon gets busy
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Reliable, punctual, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and a genuine team mindset
- Availability for full-time hours plus some Saturdays (rostered)
