Part Time: Primary Teacher

Our School Geneva Christian College is an independent Christian school in rural Tasmania. We provide a rich learning setting, where we partner with parents, to direct their children on the right path toward intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.

Role

- Pastoral care and leadership for a primary class, commencing with class devotions each day and closing the day with announcements and prayer.
- Plan, teach, assess and report against the Australian Curriculum.
- Provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities for students.
- Work in collaboration with other staff to maintain a distinctive Christian education, by engaging and aligning practice with the School’s Vision, Mission & Values.
- Encourage students in a positive and supportive learning environment where student achievements are acknowledged.

You

- A committed Christian teacher with a deep desire to serve Jesus.




- Demonstrate a passion for Biblically-based Christian education & teaching.
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential, catering for students with a range of learning abilities.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students.
- Demonstrate ability in problem solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management.
- Hold a current Teachers’ Registration and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
