Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines,



to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary:

The Head of Procurement / Commercial Strategy drives procurement innovation, governance, and capability building to support the project’s long -term commercial success. #LI-AF1

Major Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and execution of enterprise procurement and commercial strategies that deliver value, mitigate risk, and support long-term organisational objectives.

- Establish and maintain procurement governance frameworks, policies, systems, and processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and strategic alignment.

- Provide expert commercial, procurement, and contract management advice to executives, senior leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders.

- Oversee major procurement programs, sourcing activities, contract negotiations, and supplier engagements to achieve commercially favourable outcomes.

- Monitor market trends, demand drivers, and emerging risks to inform sourcing strategies and commercial decision-making and Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships that drive performance, innovation, collaboration, and long-term value.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement maturity, strengthen governance, improve efficiency, and optimise value for money.

- Build organisational capability through training, mentoring, succession planning, and the development of procurement and contract management frameworks.
