Our client is a Tier-1 electrical contractor that provides end-to-end electrical and communications solutions across Australia. Its services include design and engineering, electrical construction, communications systems, service and maintenance, and critical infrastructure.

Continued growth means that they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical & Communications Estimator, to join a friendly team in their Belmont offices.

Key Responsibilities of this varied and rewarding role include :

o Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for electrical and communications projects based on plans, specifications and client requirements.

o Review drawings, technical documents and project scopes to identify the materials, labour and equipment required.

o Conduct quantity take-offs and calculate material requirements, labour hours and other project costs.

o Identify potential project risks, exclusions, variations and cost impacts before submitting a tender.

o Develop detailed tender submissions, including pricing schedules, scope information and supporting documentation.

o Ensure estimates comply with relevant electrical, communications, safety and industry standards.

To really excel in this role,



you’ll require :

o A demonstrated background in a similar role or environment. Candidates with a Defence or Data Centre background will be highly regarded.

o The ability to effectively liaise with clients and build relationships, when attending tender meetings o Experience using tender software packages such as Conest & AutoDesk Construction Cloud.

o Familiarity with Tier-1 / 2 Tender Packages such as Multiplex, Lendlease, CPB, ADCO, Duratec.
