Your new company An established and growing Queensland-based renewable energy business is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Projects Team in Lawnton. Your new role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the engineering, design, certification and delivery of commercial solar and battery projects from concept through to commissioning and grid connection.Working closely with project teams, electricians, engineers and key stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise to ensure projects are compliant, safe and delivered to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include

•Designing and developing commercial-scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems

•Supervising and reviewing electrical engineering design requirements

•Preparing engineering certification reports, technical documentation and schematics

•Undertaking voltage rise calculations and other electrical engineering assessments

•Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and industry requirements

•Managing network connection applications and approvals

•Conducting site inspections and providing engineering support throughout project delivery

•Supporting commissioning activities, grid connections and protection systems

•Preparing compliance documentation, as-built drawings and inspection reports

•Collaborating with project teams to resolve technical issues and optimise project outcomes





What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- RPEQ registration (Electrical) or a willingness to obtain registration
- Experience in electrical engineering, ideally within solar, renewable energy, battery storage or power systems
- Experience designing solar PV and battery systems
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical compliance requirements
- Experience preparing engineering reports, certification documentation and compliance submissions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Highly regarded experience includes:
- Commercial solar and battery storage projects
- Network connection processes and approvals
- Protection systems and grid connection requirements
- Relevant electrical design and modelling software
