We are seeking an experienced Emergency Vet Nurse to join our team at Gippsland Pet Emergency Clinic in Warragul, Victoria. This part time or casual role will involve working week nights, weekends and public holidays only and providing high-quality care to our patients during critical moments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vet nurse, with emergency or critical care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
– Assist in triaging cases and prioritizing patient care
– Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia
– Provide compassionate support to pets and their owners
– Work closely with veterinarians to deliver high-quality care
– Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation
Skills
– Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and clients
– Compassionate approach to patient care
– Ability to work effectively in a team setting
– Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekends
Qualifications
– Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a veterinary nurse
– Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
– Experience in emergency or critical care is preferred
– Commitment to continuing professional development
