CareerAide Australia is growing, and we are looking for a confident and motivated Employment Consultant to join our team.

We specialise in helping injured workers secure suitable work trials and new employment opportunities. Our team works closely with key stakeholders across Australia to achieve positive return-to-work outcomes.

About the role:

This is a phone-based employer engagement role. You will make a high volume of outbound calls each day to find suitable work trials and potential employment opportunities for injured workers.

Your responsibilities will include

- Proactively contacting employers across various industries
- Identifying suitable work trials and potential employment opportunities
- Matching workers with opportunities suited to their skills, experience and medical capacity
- Building strong relationships with employers
- Coordinating employer meetings and work trial placements
- Supporting workers with resumes, job applications and interview preparation
- Maintaining accurate case notes and providing regular stakeholder updates
- Managing multiple referrals and taking ownership of your caseload

About you: The ideal candidate will enjoy speaking with people and be comfortable making a large number of employer calls each day.

You will be

- Genuinely interested in helping injured workers return to meaningful employment
- Confident, resilient and persuasive on the phone
- Proactive and comfortable approaching new employers
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple referrals
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work
- Genuinely interested in helping injured workers return to meaningful employment

This opportunity may be particularly well suited to:
- A third or fourth-year student completing an allied health degree, such as rehabilitation counselling, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy or nursing, who is looking for an entry-level role in the occupational rehabilitation industry
- A parent returning to work who has previous experience in workers’ compensation, occupational rehabilitation, employment services or a related industry
- Someone who wants to return to meaningful professional work while continuing to manage childcare or family commitments

The Benefits:
- If you are Perth-based, you can work from our Perth office or completely from home. We are also open to candidates located anywhere in Australia, provided you have a quiet and suitable space to work.
- Receive comprehensive training before managing your work independently
- No micromanagement you will be trusted to take ownership of your work, do your best and call it a day. This is a role where you can do meaningful work without taking the job home with you.
- A perfect role for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes while completing meaningful work that makes a genuine difference
- Join a supportive and approachable national team
- Enjoy regular team social events and opportunities to connect in person
- Help injured workers rebuild their confidence, capacity and careers

If you are confident on the phone, enjoy connecting with employers and want the freedom to own your work, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
