THE ROLE

Based in the Brisbane office, you will take operational and technical ownership of multidisciplinary engineering and systems integration projects. As a dual capability leader across both Electrical Engineering and Control Systems, you will collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, software, and site delivery teams to ensure solutions are commercially practical, technically sound, and delivered flawlessly from concept through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and resource a multidisciplinary team spanning electrical design, instrumentation, PLC / SCADA automation, and systems integration.
- Act as the subject matter expert across both electrical power engineering and industrial automation / control systems, ensuring robust technical governance and standards compliance.
- Oversee end to end engineering workflows including power system studies, single line diagrams, instrument loop schematics, PLC / SCADA architecture, and functional safety integration.
- Champion integration strategies, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop checking,



and complex commissioning of high power products and automated control infrastructure.
- Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis for complex electrical and controls issues, driving innovative, defect free engineering outcomes.
- Partner with estimating and project management teams to deliver technical due diligence, scopes of work, and value engineered solutions for major tenders.

ABOUT YOU

- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems) or equivalent; RPEQ / CPEng status is highly regarded.
- Proven track record leading engineering teams with demonstrated dual expertise across heavy electrical design (power distribution, switchgear, high power products) and advanced control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, industrial networking).
- Extensive experience across the complete asset lifecycle, from concept scoping and detailed design to on site commissioning and systems integration.
- Practical background in root cause analysis, functional safety, and testing/verification protocols within industrial, water, mining, or energy sectors.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to bridge technical nuances and commercial delivery while working collaboratively across internal teams and client stakeholders.
