Engineering Team Leader – Service | HVAC

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Leader role and play a key part in supporting the Service division. Working closely with senior leadership, service teams, clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, you will provide technical engineering support, lead quality and compliance initiatives, and contribute to innovative and commercially effective solutions.

The Role

- Provide engineering support to Service teams across projects and client sites.
- Undertake engineering design, calculations and value-engineering reviews.
- Review mechanical designs, drawings and specifications to ensure technical, legislative and commercial requirements are met.
- Review consultant designs and identify commercially effective and constructable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and applicable building and engineering requirements.
- Provide engineering input throughout estimating, design, construction, commissioning, certification and essential services testing.
- Lead Engineering QA processes across the Service division.




- Support Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) processes and essential services compliance.
- Review and provide certification documentation where required.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable upgrades, building performance improvements, essential services upgrades and other value-add opportunities.
- Support building tuning, logging, feasibility studies, ROI assessments and performance reviews.
- Provide technical and engineering support for business development opportunities.
- Attend client, consultant, contractor and internal meetings and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with suppliers on engineering and commercial matters where required.
- Mentor, train and develop engineers and Service team members.
- Support the recruitment and development of engineering talent within the Service division.
- Develop and implement engineering systems, procedures and quality processes.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and best-practice engineering outcomes.
- Promote a solid culture of safety, quality, teamwork and customer focus.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 4 years' relevant experience within the Australian HVAC industry .
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC engineering, design and service environments.
- Sound understanding of relevant Australian engineering codes,



standards and practices.
- Strong understanding of NCC/BCA, Green Star, NABERS, PCA Grade, AIRAH, CIBSE and ASHRAE requirements.
- Experience with engineering design, calculations, design reviews and value engineering.
- Understanding of essential services, compliance and certification requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify value-add opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train and develop engineers and technical teams.
- Engineers Australia membership, or willingness to obtain.
- CPEng and NER desirable, or willingness to obtain as required.
