About the role A leading travel organisation is looking for a skilled Events Manager to bring to life a dynamic mix of events across Australia, spanning customers, trade partners, communities and VIP audiences.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, this role offers the chance to truly own the events space—shaping ideas from the ground up and seeing them through to successful delivery. You’ll be encouraged to think creatively, challenge the status quo and design experiences that leave a lasting impression while deepening connections with travellers and industry partners.
We’re after someone who thrives in both the creative and practical sides of events, and who enjoys being right in the middle of the action from planning through to execution.
You’ll oversee a broad and ever-changing events program, ranging from small-scale customer gatherings and community activations through to larger showcases, industry functions and premium invitation-only experiences.
Working closely with teams across marketing, sales, trade and reservations, you’ll act as the central driver for each event, ensuring everything runs smoothly, aligns with objectives and is delivered to a high standard.
Why this role stands out
- Full ownership of a varied and evolving events portfolio.
- Freedom to shape new event ideas and formats.
- End-to-end involvement across planning, delivery and review.
- Opportunity to work within a respected and established travel brand.
- Strong exposure to industry partners, suppliers and tourism networks.
- The chance to create moments that genuinely influence travel decisions.
- A role where your work is visible and valued across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Bringing to life a mix of consumer, trade, community,
VIP and digital events.
- Coordinating all moving parts including budgets, schedules, venues and suppliers.
- Designing engaging event concepts that support customer interest and business goals.
- Managing guest communications, registrations and event marketing activity.
- Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences.
- Being present on-site to ensure smooth execution and positive attendee experience.
- Reviewing event outcomes and identifying ways to improve future delivery.
- Keeping the national events schedule organised, accurate and up to date.
- Managing multiple projects at once while maintaining clarity and control.
What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who knows how to take an idea and turn it into a well-run, memorable event. You’re organised, calm under pressure and confident working across multiple stakeholders.
You’ll bring
- Proven experience managing events from concept through to completion.
- Strong project management, organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience managing venues, suppliers, contracts and event budgets.
- A creative mindset with the confidence to introduce recent ideas and approaches.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a calm, solutions-focused approach.
- A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how events can drive engagement, leads and sales.
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events and travel nationally when required.
Experience within travel, tourism, hospitality, consumer events or a related industry will be highly regarded.
