Experienced Dog Groomer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for animal care, strong grooming skills, and the confidence to work with dogs of different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and coat types.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring every dog is handled safely, calmly, and with care.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, and styling.
- Complete breed-specific and owner-requested grooming styles to a high standard.
- Safely handle dogs with a range of temperaments and grooming requirements.
- Assess each dog's coat, skin, condition, and grooming needs.
- Identify and report any abnormalities, injuries, parasites, or potential health concerns to the owner.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and secure grooming environment.
- Safely operate and maintain grooming equipment and tools.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming requirements and aftercare.
- Manage appointments and complete grooming services efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Ensure the wellbeing, comfort, and safety of every dog throughout the grooming process.
- Follow workplace health, safety, hygiene, and animal welfare procedures.

About You
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer.




- Strong knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, grooming techniques, and styles.
- Confident handling dogs of varying sizes, ages, and temperaments.
- Excellent animal handling and communication skills.
- Patient, calm, and compassionate approach to animal care.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality grooming results.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Professional and friendly approach when dealing with customers.
- Physically capable of working on your feet and handling dogs throughout the day.
- Relevant grooming qualifications or formal training are desirable.
