The Opportunity:

As an experienced Financial Accountant working in a quick-paced environment, you will play an important role in supporting the organisation’s financial operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity and reliability of financial information. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for a range of financial accounting, reconciliation, reporting and compliance activities, helping to ensure financial processes are completed accurately and on time.

You will support the delivery of month-end and year-end processes, statutory reporting and compliance obligations, while maintaining effective financial controls and contributing to continuous improvement across the finance function. You will also provide accurate financial information and analysis to support operational reporting, business performance monitoring and informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial accounting and general ledger maintenance
- Month-end and year-end processing
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Statutory compliance and taxation reporting

- Financial reporting and analysis

- External audit support
- Fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure tracking
- Financial systems support and process improvement




- Budgeting and forecasting support

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification desirable
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Financial Accountant
- Experience in financial accounting, reporting and reconciliations
- Experience within hospitality, clubs, gaming or multi-site operations advantageous
- Strong financial accounting capability, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and balance sheet review
- Experience working with accounting systems and reporting tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability, with an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
