At Metafix, we’re looking for an experienced fencer who’s ready for more responsibility and wants the opportunity to step up into a Head Fencer role.

You don’t need to already be a team leader.

If you’ve been building fences and retaining walls for a while, know your way around a job site, take pride in your work and have the right attitude, we’ll support you to make the next step.

We’re a family-owned fencing and retaining wall business working across South West Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich.

We work hard, have high standards and expect everyone to pull their weight, but we also enjoy coming to work. We’re a friendly, close-knit team, there’s plenty of banter on site and everyone looks out for each other.

About the Role You’ll be paired with an Assistant Fencer and work together to deliver quality fencing and retaining wall projects.

Every job is supported by detailed construction drawings and production information,



so you’re not expected to figure everything out from scratch.

You’ll be responsible for planning the day’s work, maintaining quality and productivity, communicating professionally with customers and leading by example on site.

Before stepping into the role independently, you’ll spend time working alongside our Senior Head Fencer to become familiar with Metafix systems, construction methods and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with solid hands-on experience in fencing, retaining walls or similar construction work who:

- Is reliable and turns up ready to work
- Works at a valuable pace without cutting corners
- Communicates well and gets along with people
- Takes responsibility rather than making excuses
- Is willing to learn and accepts feedback
- Wants to develop and take on more responsibility
