EXPERIENCED WAIT STAFF – RESTAURANT PROFESSIONALS

Buon Appetit – Camden NSW

Buon Appetit is a busy, high-volume Italian restaurant in Camden, and we are currently looking for experienced restaurant wait staff to join our front-of-house team.

This is not an entry-level hospitality position.

We are looking for confident, experienced hospitality professionals who can walk into a busy restaurant service, manage their own section and provide polished, efficient service without needing constant supervision.

Our restaurant regularly experiences very busy services, particularly on weekends, so applicants must be comfortable working at pace while maintaining a professional and welcoming standard of service.

THE ROLE

You will be expected to:

- Independently manage a busy restaurant section
- Greet and seat customers professionally
- Take detailed food and beverage orders accurately
- Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations
- Take and serve alcoholic beverage orders
- Use POS systems confidently
- Run food and drinks efficiently
- Coordinate table timing with the kitchen and bar
- Clear, reset and turn tables quickly during busy periods
- Process bills and customer payments
- Handle customer requests and minor complaints professionally
- Maintain awareness of your entire section throughout service
- Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties
- Work closely with management, kitchen and bar teams

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Applicants should have

- Previous experience working as wait staff in a busy restaurant
- Experience managing their own section of tables
- Strong food and beverage knowledge




- Confidence serving alcohol and discussing drinks with customers
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisation and table-management skills
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- A professional appearance and manner
- Reliability and punctuality
- The ability to work independently without constant direction
- A current NSW RSA
- Strong weekend availability

Applicants without previous restaurant table-service experience are unlikely to be suitable for this position.

AVAILABILITY

We are particularly looking for staff available for:

- Friday nights
- Saturday lunch and dinner
- Sunday lunch and dinner

Consistent weekend availability is significant.
