We are now looking for a reliable and capable Fabricator / Welder to join our Production team based in Dandenong South.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on workshop role where you will be involved in the fabrication and welding of commercial fencing, gates and related steel products.

You will work as part of our production team to fabricate, weld, assemble and finish products to the required quality, safety and production standards.

This role would suit someone who enjoys practical workshop work, takes pride in their weld quality, can work from drawings or measurements, and wants stable work with a long-standing Australian business.

What you’ll be doing In this role, you will:

- Fabricate and weld steel fencing, gate and related commercial products

- MIG weld components to the required standard

- Read and work from drawings, measurements and work instructions

- Measure, cut, tack, weld, assemble and finish fabricated items

- Use grinders, saws, drills, hand tools and other workshop equipment safely

- Check work for accuracy, quality,



square and finish

- Assist with general production and workshop duties as required

- Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean, organised work area

- Work with the production team to meet daily and weekly output requirements

- Support a practical, positive and team-focused workshop environment

- General Fabricator

- Boilermaker

- Trade Assistant with welding experience

Experience in fencing, gates, steel fabrication, building products, trailers, balustrades, handrails, cages, frames or similar manufactured steel products will be highly regarded.

What we’re looking for The right person will bring:

- Previous MIG welding and steel fabrication experience

- Ability to read basic drawings, measurements or work instructions

- Valuable attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Strong commitment to safety

- Ability to work well in a workshop team

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to follow process

- Ability to work at a steady pace while maintaining quality
- A forklift truck licence (LF)

Experience in commercial fencing or gate fabrication would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.

A short practical weld/fabrication test may form part of the recruitment process.
