Willing and Able Foundation

North Shore

Bring your skills to a role where you can help other people build theirs.

Willing & Able Foundation has been supporting adults with disability for 60 years. We are a registered NDIS provider and are looking for Support Workers to join our diverse team.

We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting people with disability to build independence, confidence and skills — at home, in the community and at work.

About the role

Our Support Workers provide individual and group support based on each participant’s goals and needs. Depending on your experience, interests and availability, your work may include:

- supporting participants with daily living, personal care and home-based activities

- supporting people to access their community, develop independence and work towards personal goals

- facilitating individual and group activities

- supporting participants to develop confidence, social connections and life skills

- working within our supported employment services alongside teams of supported employees

- providing practical guidance, encouragement and leadership in a workplace environment

- helping supported employees build job readiness, workplace and transferable life skills.

Tell us what you can do

We are particularly interested in people who can bring additional skills, interests or experience to our team.

You might have experience in disability support, but you might also bring a background in areas such as customer service, retail, hospitality, business operations, warehousing, woodwork or another trade or practical skill.

If you have skills you enjoy sharing with others, we'd like to hear about them.

You will be someone who communicates well,

leads by example and can adapt your approach to the individual. Most importantly, you will enjoy supporting people to develop their capabilities and achieve their own goals.

What you'll need

You will need:

- Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability or a related discipline, or be willing to enroll within three months of commencing

- a current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- a current First Aid Certificate

- a current NSW Driver Licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle

- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- empathy, emotional intelligence and respect for confidentiality

- a qualified, reliable and solution-focused approach

- an understanding of the needs and rights of people with disability.

Experience in disability services or the not-for-profit sector is valued but not essential. Experience in customer service, retail, business operations, trades or other practical work environments will also be highly regarded.

An LR or MR Driver Licence would be an advantage.

Interested?

We'd love to know more than what's on your CV.

When you apply, tell us about your skills, interests and experience, why you'd like to work with people with disability, and what you think you could bring to Willing & Able.

For more information or a confidential discussion, please contact Krystal Drury on 04•• ••• 397 or ••••@willingandable.org.au.

To apply, please send your CV and a short introduction outlining your skills and interests to ••••@willingandable.org.au.

Applications close: Monday 7th September 2026

Please note: Applications must follow the instructions above to be considered. Please do not apply solely through Seek.
