AIM Group Australia has been in business since 1988 & is currently seeking a reliable Factory Hand to join our busy chemical warehouse.
Full on the job training will be provided on site.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in their work, has a strong safety ethic & excellent attention to detail. The warehouse is fully undercover, open & well ventilated.
You will be working with chemicals & flammable goods, including preparing customer orders by decanting larger quantities into smaller containers, labeling, wrapping & palletising products.
With training & experience, you will have the opportunity to learn how to mix chemicals such as GP Thinners, Mineral Turps, Truck Wash & Cleaning Detergents. The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities & increase their remuneration as their skills develop.
The current rate is $32.18/hr for the first 2 weeks,
increasing to $33.50/hr in accordance with the MA000010 Manufacturing & Associated Industries & Occupations Award.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting
- Forklift ticket an advantage but not necessary
- No previous experience necessary - full on the job training provided
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to safely handle chemicals & dangerous goods
- Strong work ethic & reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Previous experience in the chemical manufacturing industry will be highly desirable
