Description

Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers with psychosocial experience to support one of our Participant’s in Wanneroo (Supported Independent Living).

To be considered, you will need to be available for both day and overnight (sleep shifts)

Responsibilities:

- Provide emotional and practical support to clients with psychosocial needs.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills.
- Facilitate social activities and community engagement for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and support provided.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, ensuring client confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications:

- - Ability and willingness to behave in accordance with company Mission & Values
- Minimum qualification at Certificate III level in one of the following: Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, Community Services, Disability, Aged Care/HACC or Allied Health Assistant (or working towards).




- Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate Medication Competency, NDIS Orientation Modules, Infection Control Certificate, Manual Handling Certificate
- Commitment to using a human rights-based, person-centred approach in working with people with all types of disability and maximising their choice and control at all times
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS and how it can assist people to achieve their goals
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with and relate well to people we support and their families, especially those with diverse communication styles and needs
- Knowledge of local community networks and a demonstrated commitment to ensuring the community has a positive image of people with disabilities and mental health issues
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and contribute to team goals
- Demonstrated computer use competency, including client information management systems, email, administrative and clinical documentation skills
- Willingness to participate in shift work, which may include various days, weekends, afternoons and/or evenings, and public holidays
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- NDIS worker screening check
