Port Hedland FIFO. $70–80/hr, flights, own room in a house — not a camp.
Family-run contractor, eleven years in business. Commercial, domestic, solar and aircon — you'll use your whole licence, not one corner of it.
About the role: Port Hedland FIFO. 19 days on, 9 days off from any East Coast capital — Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide. Or 12:9 ex-Perth. Two weekends at home every R&R.;
$70–80/hr depending on experience, paid fortnightly.
We publish our rate because most Pilbara ads don't. Scroll this page — you'll find "competitive rates" and "industry-leading remuneration" and not many actual numbers. Ours is above. Compare it properly against whatever else you're looking at.
Permanent full time position available after probation, including $70/day tax-free LAFHA.
Accommodation in a shared house — not a camp. Own room, shared bathroom, proper kitchen and living area. Self-catered, so you cook what you actually want to eat.
A RDO in every 19-day swing, company vehicle included — so you can get out and see the Pilbara instead of sitting in a room on your day off.
Key responsibilities:
- Commercial construction and fit-out
- Commercial maintenance
- Residential maintenance and renovations
- Residential new builds
- Solar, off-grid and battery systems
- Air conditioning — install and service
- Working unsupervised across a varied workload
This isn't a mine site. Most FIFO electrical work in the Pilbara is industrial maintenance on one client's asset — same schedule, same gear, same four faults. Ours is commercial construction one week and an off-grid solar install the next. That matters more than it sounds.
Five years of narrow site maintenance and your licence is worth less than the day you got it. Five years across domestic, commercial and renewables and you can work anywhere in the country.
About you:
- Unrestricted A Grade WA Electrical Licence
- Manual driver's licence
- WA White Card
- First Aid / CPR
- Low Voltage Rescue
- Working at Heights
- 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Australian work rights
Nice to have: Cert II Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems, forklift ticket About us: Lite Force is a family-run electrical contractor based in Wedgefield, Port Hedland. Eleven years in business, six of them in the Pilbara, and we're expanding into Newman to support clients we already look after and contracts we've secured.
We work for local builders, state and local government, town councils, commercial businesses, real estate agencies and homeowners. That mix is deliberate — steady contracted work underneath the project work, and a crew that stays sharp across everything instead of narrowing into one specialty.
Six years in the Pilbara doesn't happen by accident. Our clients call us back, and we'd rather grow with people who want to stay than churn through bodies.
You won't be a number here. Your name is on your work and the people you're working for know it.
What you get on top of the rate: company vehicle, fuel card, uniform and PPE, gym membership, and ongoing training and progression.
Not married to FIFO? We also run town-based roles in Port Hedland and Newman — relocation packages, housing assistance and company housing. Mention it in your application and we'll talk.
