Our client is a leading commercial Construction and Development business, with an impressive portfolio of projects across the Retail, Education and Healthcare sectors and with ambitious plans for continued growth.

Joining at a pivotal stage of the Company’s evolution, you will take ownership of the complete finance function, ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place while helping shape the finance function as the business continues to grow.

Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, you will become the finance lead and a key point of contact for a range of stakeholders. Leading a small finance team, you’ll have the chance to broaden your skillset, develop your career and play an integral role in the ongoing success of the business.

The Role

Your role as Finance Manager will play an essential role in the company’s growth and will lead a small team. Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Own the end-to-end finance function across multiple entities (construction, property development, property management and holding companies).

- Deliver accurate, timely management reporting, budgeting,



forecasting and cash flow visibility

- Partner with the Managing Directors to provide commercial insights that support growth, project decisions and future development strategy.

- Manage project and development finance across the full lifecycle

- Oversee project budgets, loan/funding requirements, drawdowns and broader banking relationships

- Ensure compliance obligations are met on time and accurately (BAS, TPAR, ASIC, ATO and related requirements)

- Drive process and systems improvements across Xero/finance workflows, approval controls and reporting.

- Lead and mentor the finance team, setting clear priorities and lifting accountability as the business scales.

Your Background To be considered for this Finance Manager role, you will have experience in a broad accounting position and should meet the majority of the following:

- CA/CPA qualified (or strong, directly relevant industry experience if not qualified)

- Proven experience in Construction, Property Development/Real Estate, or a similar project-driven environment

- Confidence working across multiple entities and improving finance processes/controls
- A proactive, adaptable style suited to a fast-paced growth environment

- Leadership experience (or readiness) to mentor and manage an Accounts Officer
