About the role
The Shire of Upper Gascoyne has an excellent prospect for a highly skilled and experienced Accountant/Finance Officer to join our small but agile team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our finance department ensuring the successful provision of services to the Shire's internal and external stakeholders. If you have a passion for finance, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to make a difference, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting and month end processes
- Fixed asset register management
- Audit and budget preparation and support
- Support payroll, creditors, debtors and banking functions
- Insurance Portfolio Management
- Rate enquiries
- Debt Collection Management
- Grant Management
- Accounting support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
