Senior Technical Officer - Construction Quality

Join a team committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure outcomes for the Tweed community. As the Senior Technical Officer - Construction Quality, you will oversee quality assurance across Council's civil construction operations while ensuring environmental, waste management and biosecurity compliance requirements are met throughout project delivery.

About the role:

- Play a key role in establishing the quality of Council's civil infrastructure.
- Lead quality control, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide specialist support to construction teams and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management obligations.
- Help deliver infrastructure assets that benefit the Tweed community for years to come.

- a base salary ranging from $87,689 per annum with competency-based increments up to $103,869 per annum, plus 12% super
- 70-hour, 9 day fortnight

- Commuter Use Only (Operational Vehicle) - Use of Council vehicle allocated to designated positions outside working hours - no private use permitted.

We are seeking:

- Experience in civil construction quality assurance, with strong skills in materials testing, results interpretation and quality control processes.
- Skilled in developing and implementing specifications, auditing programs and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
- Proficient in using and developing technology and data management systems to support job tracking, reporting and operational efficiency.
- Knowledgeable in construction waste management, environmental compliance and relevant regulatory requirements.
- A collaborative leader with strong communication skills, capable of coaching teams,



preparing technical reports and driving best-practice outcomes.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah andcan be directed to work from any Council work site.
