About Us

Our licensed café and rooftop bar are situated within an award-winning accommodation venue overlooking Darwin Harbour. With daily café operations, a sunset rooftop bar, and a steady events schedule, we are seeking a talented and driven Food & Beverage and Events Manager to oversee and elevate our guest experience across all touchpoints.

The Role

This is a leadership role requiring hands-on operational management and strong team supervision skills. You will report directly to the General Manager and oversee all aspects of F&B; operations across:

- Events and functions
- The ground-floor licensed café Horizen Café
- Rooftop bar and lounge area Zen Rooftop Lounge
- Identifying solid business ideas.

Key Responsibilities Event & Function Management

- Respond to Event enquiries, conduct famils, provide quotes for events
- Oversee staffing and logistics for onsite events including setup, beverage service and close-down
- Match bar and food packages aligned with the client needs and venue’s branding and profitability targets
- Work with the GM and support team to coordinate private functions, conferences, and promotional events

Financial & Operational Management

- Oversee staffing, supervisors , rosters, budgets, cost controls, supplier negotiations, and inventory
- Monitor sales performance and profitability
- Follow through Events invoice, tab, deposit and payments processes
- Manage compliance with RSA and food safety regulations




- Oversee & develop sales leads, promotion & social media

Guest Experience & Quality Control

- Oversee the quality and consistency of food and beverage service
- Lead a customer-first culture ensuring an exceptional and welcoming guest experience
- Respond to guest feedback and reviews constructively

Team Leadership & Training

- Lead, motivate and roster the F&B; team
- Provide hands-on supervision during peak service times
- Provide feedback , upskilling, training and mentoring for staff and supervisors
- Be the point of call for staff issues and attendances and be prepared at all times to find replacements cover shifts for non attendances

Requirements

- 5 + years’ experience in an F&B; , events , management or supervisory role
- Background in café ,events and licensed premises environments preferred
- Robust team-building and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and WHS
- Valid RSA and Driver’s Licence – essential
- Full-time work rights in Australia preferred
